Alright guys, here’s the juicy scoop! For the past three years I (Allie), along with the most supportive family and friends, have enjoyed growing Crafthouse, as you know it. It has been the most beautiful and stressful process, as many things are when you truly love them.I have dropped the ball in many ways, succeeded and failed so many times already. Most importantly, though, I have been reminded and reaffirmed that Crafthouse exists for a reason here in Lincoln, NE.

Enter Sonya. She and her daughter (Alex) came into Crafthouse, formed relationships, listened to the ups and downs of running a small business and were present. It didn’t take long to notice Sonya’s passion and experiences were completely in line with mine (but even better) and what I’ve always envisioned for Crafthouse.

PS – Our birthdays are ON THE SAME DAY. How weird is that?!

Allie Luedtke

In desperate search of locally sold modern and natural textiles, founder, Allie Luedtke acknowledges, “I never really expected to open a store, it wasn’t my intention when I came out of school. I kept thinking, ‘Somebody should really do that’ and then I thought, ‘Maybe it should be me.’" Allie is a graduate from the UNL Textile and Apparel Design program. She is married to Tad. She enjoys spending every moment possible with their son Calvin, better know as their special squish.

Sonya Nelsen

Sonya has worked extensively in the retail market and entrepreneurship flows in her blood. Two of her favorite past businesses include an artistic rubber stamp manufacturing business and the opening and running of a bed & breakfast named Grace Elizabeth's. She is a DIY fanatic and the epitome of the phrase "I can make that myself!" Sonya joined Crafthouse as a co-owner in 2016. She is married to Rick. They have three grown daughters, married to three wonderful men. She is excited for the next season, to be a Nana.
