Sewing Machine Maintenance Workshop

Are you satisfied with how your machine sews?  Does it make odd noises? Does it skip stitches?  Learn how to care for your machine to get the best results possible.  Learn the importance of oil, needles and proper unthreading to up your sewing game and extend the life of your machine.  In this one hour workshop, we will learn some basic ins and outs of sewing machine maintenance.

Please Note: This workshop is not intended to replace professional maintenance done by a trained technician or to fix all sewing machine problems.

Tools List - Please bring the following to workshop

  • Sewing Machine
  • Screwdriver or key that came with machine or regular screwdriver that fits machine screws
  • Sewing machine oil*
  • Child size toothbrush or brush that came with machine
  • Tweezers
  • Flashlight
  • Fabric scraps
  • Microfiber or dusting cloth
  • Muslin cloth (fat quarter size)*
  • Thread and needles of choice including current needle in machine*
