Sewing Skills Primer/Review

In this two hour class, you will learn basic skills, tips and techniques to get you started or back into sewing!  Learn about grainline and selvage edges. Practice using those funky grid rulers and cutting mats. Wield a rotary cutter with confidence!  Learn why and how to trace a pattern as well as basic alterations before cutting into your precious fabric. Explore different types of fabric and what type of garments you could make out of it.  Practice winding bobbins and threading a machine. You will have time to explore different types of stitches on a variety of fabrics, too.

After taking this class, you will have more confidence to tackle any of the beginning garment/pillowcase sewing classes offered at Crafthouse!
