Triaxial Weaving Workshop (Fabric)

Students will learn how to prepare the weaving board, create fabric strips and weave a beautiful triaxial pattern. It looks dynamic and complicated, but it's easier than it looks and so much fun to create! Impress your friends with a finished panel, which can be used to make a bag, pillow, table topper, put it in a hoop and so much more. Certainly has that wow factor!

  • HOMEWORK: Prepare strips for weaving...cut fabric crosswise (width of fabric salvage to salvage) into 2" strips. Use a bias tape maker tool and iron strips into tape. Note - not really a true bias tape because we did not cut fabric on the bias. We do not want the stretch of true bias tape. If you do not know how to make this tape give us a call. We are in the process of making a video of this process.
Tools Needed: If you do not have these tools, you can purchase most of these from Crafthouse or use our studio tools for the class
